Richard and Joe went above and beyond accommodating our family. Pros: The Oaks is a special place. We could have stayed at your run-of-the-mill hotel/motel in Jamestown, but wanted a calmer, more family friendly place to stay where we could relax and visit with our son. Richard outdoes himself with his amazing breakfasts! The rooms are so comfortable and inviting. I'm afraid to write anymore about how wonderful this B&B is, because I don't want anyone to find out about our little secret. Can't wait to stay here again! Cons: Not-a-one!! It is the best my husband and I have ever visited. Pros: Richard and Joe were two of the nicest and most hospitable gentlemen I've had the pleasure of meeting at a B&B. Their home is immaculately clean, which I look for when I travel. The beds were luxurious and comfortable and my husband and I slept wonderfully. We enjoyed bringing a dinner to the house and sitting out on one of the two porches and enjoying the beautiful evening. When we went inside, we sat in one of the beautiful sitting rooms and played cards. The neighborhood is peaceful, quiet and people are very friendly. My husband and I went for a run in the neighborhood, which was also great - lots of traffic free areas to run in. We also played golf at a local course and there are many to choose from. Breakfast was a feast. Richard is a great cook. We had quiche, fresh baked blueberry muffins, yogurt parfaits with fruit and granola, good coffee, tea, water, juice - Richard just couldn't be more gracious. Did you find this review helpful? We felt like we had been on a long restful vacation. The rooms are lovely and immaculate. Breakfast was delicious and more than one can eat - all freshly made.
